Overstocking? Please define overstocking for this critter. I think it is a figment of your imagination. Talk to the tree burners for the real deal on fuel.

Your the last person I would expect to ask for an explanation! If I remember correctly you even hoard T paper!

Overstocking(AKA hoarding) Putting more than one could actually use in the storage area to ensure you won't get left out or run out.

Instead of hoarding cash(like the government says we do). I prefer to hoard things that cash can't/won't buy once its become worthless!!

I once had close to 20 ton in that garage and used all but 2 of those. I also manage to cycle through the TP and other supplies about the only thing that gets several years ahead on me is my canned fish stash. I only get those when my youngest stops on the way back from her Cape Breton Gaelic College summer classes (bagpipes and fiddle).

Hello fellow pelletheads, new guy here (over from the "other board")
I have 4 tons of Okies and looking to get a shoulder season ton. May head over to TSC in the morning and see if they still have any MWP's.

If the boss would let me I'd go for it. My likely downfall (besides slipping on the ice) would be the summertime ice cream craving.

you know you can freeze ice cream. If stored correctly, it doesn't get all frosty. Or you can keep a cow or a goat along with your chickens and make your own ice cream. I know about those ice cream cravings. That is why I don't have it in the house. It got bad list night. So bad the wife went out and got some and brought it home. Single serving, but it did the trick. I grave chocolate or pistachio. Enough about that before I get in trouble.

Thanks for the welcomes! I'm glad I found this board - it seems to have a lot of nice folks hanging around.
This will be my 7th season burning pellets in our Harman XXV in northwest CT.

It would take up too much room in the freezer, we only have what is part of the fridge.

Welcome FredRed, Glad to see another NW CT local in the group!!

I think they(TSC in Barkhamsted) have some left. HD in Torrington also has Stove Chow.

TSC here had pellets earlier than everyone else too. My problem with them is they don't deliver or offer a veterans discount, so HD is my preferred store.

On my way to work this morning I glanced over at the TSC when I passed by and noticed a subtle difference in the arrangement of pellets out in the yard. Made a mental note to stop in and sniff around on my way home, hoping maybe they got a load of Somersets in. Turns out that was just wishful thinking. I went in there and found they got a recent shipment of new pellets called "Pure Fire". Must be nearly 90 tons of them. I never heard of them before. A quick google search reveals that they are made by Dry Creek and the reviews seem to put them on par with Infernos (pre-Inferno Gold, mind you). Oh well. At least they still have a boatload of the Minute Man pellets, I'm hoping that stock remains around for a long time so I can replenish my supply as the season rolls on.

I appreciate this. My basement is stocked and now the house smells of spruce, fir, and pine, I love it! Pictures of this year's supply coming soon.
