I did when I bought the last one! Sold our little 14 foot small water boat mid summer, So we are down to one. Don't think the little guy would consider selling this one! Banked the cash cause were not sure when the Mrs. will find work. Belts pretty tight now. But still floating with out PFD's.
Wife went to HD and got the 25 bags of chow, Stuff in the cellar with the rest of the stash. Sorry no pic's, She was worried it would rain on them so she hauled them in while I was still at work. 252 bags of pellets-1 bag of cherry pits-1 bag of grass pellets- 1 bag of corn and a bag of Phoenix wood grass mix. Woot!
work smarter, not harder. pics for proof. Also note my pellets are bunkered before the trees start budding.
HD called me today with a delivery date: Oct. 7. I asked if they were having problems getting product and was told the product is coming in fast enough they just have a lot of pellets to deliver. I guess everyone learned their lesson last year and wants to be a pig this year.
Every place I have stopped says they are moving them fast!! Both pellet houses have several brands listed as out of stock!
Quite the opposite, really......ordering your pellets now isn't early.......its fairly late. A fair amount of delivery demand hs caused delivery dates to pushout to some crazy times....I don't think October 7 is all that bad.
HD was operating on leftovers from last year until about 2 weeks ago when they finally started getting new shipments and displaying them on the floor. So it's not late for them. I think a lot of people that got burned last year jumped on them as soon as the display went out.
Thanks for the info. Wife went to Walmart and got some today. MWP at $4.14 a bag. This year, the plan is a few tons in the garage, leave them alone until they invent the shortage about Feb. as usual, buy from the stores until then and unload directly onto my porch where it is easy to unload and pull them to the stove. Our problem is pulling them in from the garage.
I'm surprised they had any left. In my area many bought right up until the warm weather showed up as most couldn't get them when they needed them. TSC, HD and Lowes all were selling them as fast as the shipments came in until they stopped getting shipments. TSC only had a few stacks of GS's in June when we put our supply on lay a way and said they wouldn't be getting any new shipments until late July early August. Fast forward to early September, TSC had built a good inventory and we figured we'd better get ours early. Many burners must have done the same as the inventory they had is pretty much down to half of what they started with. I'm glad we didn't wait until October 1st to go get ours. I doubt we would have a choice in what we got. Most of the MWP are gone and they don't expect any more shipments until November some time. I'm pretty sure most of the burners near me are over stocking(as I did), So they won't be left out if there is a crunch mid season.
