Morning all. Another clear sunny day today. Last three days have freezing temps in the morning but warm all afternoon.
It has been a busy week. We took Mom down to a dentist on Monday and they booked a root canal for her for early May. Tuesday, I spent working on the library project with her and the staff. Wednesday, Mom gets a call. Could you come down Thursday for the root canal? Sure. So she came over on Wednesday and we headed down yesterday. campinspecter decided to get a load of firewood instead of coming with us.
Today, it is unloading the truck, chores, bookkeeping and catching up from the week. Retirement is certainly not boring.

The Mrs and I will be heading out to a delayed Christmas dinner with her siblings. 8 of us at a nice restaurant. Looking forward to it.

Bruins host Maple Leafs tonight.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SUPER SATURDAY. 66° forecast for 86°.
Partly cloudy. Heading to a friend's house, helping him get his grass cut. His mower is down at the moment.
This afternoon our church mission team will be fixing plates to deliver.
Menu is spiral sliced ham, cabbage, butter beans, creamed potatoes, rolls and cake.
Delivering 42 plates and we have 12 workers. I always enjoy this time.

Yesterday morning Sam and I took down a few oaks for a neighbor.
Around 1pm we got to meet a fellow FHC member, so that was cool.

Morning all. Sunny morning with clouds hovering. It is supposed to rain this evening. I am going to enjoy what we have today.

A sad sight met Jesus and his disciples as they approached the village of Nain. A funeral procession bearing the only son of a widow was leaving the village. With her son dead, the widow faced poverty and probably homelessness. Her sorrow touched the heart of Jesus. Walking up to the bier, he touched it and said "Young man, get up". The son came to life and was restored to his mother. Gladness and joy filled her heart.
Jesus will do that for you and me. We may be dead in our sins and feel that life isn't worth living but Jesus' compassion and merciful heart will reach out and touch our lives. Turn your eyes to Jesus and allow Him to touch your heart and give you new life in Him. He is waiting for you.

“I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” Jeremiah 31:13

My brother goes back home today. I'll be taking him to NH to meet his wife coming from Maine. I've very much appreciated his presence this past week.

Yesterday Tom and I got our office room pretty much set up, then we drove to Springfield to test drive office chairs, ended up buying two of the cheapest model they had because they were the most comfortable.

Good morning. I am late for the party. Just rolled in from the old homestead.

 

Morning all. Rained overnight and we have fresh snow on the hill behind town. Partly sunny, partly cloudy today. Got up late this morning.
Chores to do and a Blue Jays game to watch. Hopefully I will get my house plants repotted today or at least some of them.

Good evening fellow wood hoarders. Don't post in here but thought this might be the best place. Could use some prayers. I have afib but can keep that in check with frequent breaks. Thing is I have recently been diagnosed with a benign tumor on my stomach. So far they say it can be shrunk by medicine. Still kinda like the good folks on here sending words to the Great Physician.
