My favorite food on cold, rainy Fall day. These will be so awesome after an overnight in the crockpot. 20230925_181552.jpg 20230925_183546.jpg

I usually put on for 3 hr on Hi, then let it go for as long as possible. Longer is better. I do overnight, but I bet if you started in the morning, it would be ready for dinner.

Naw. I was thinking putting into cooker before noon and it should be ready by dinner the same day. I'm not sure what the minimum time is, because I usually just do it over night. 3-4 hrs may be plenty. I suppose you could Google "venison shank slow cooker recipes." They may help.

Ok I just wanted to clarify if you were cooking overnight and the whole day too haha. They're in the cooker and in the fridge ready to go in the morning. Thanks!

Just threw em on high and Mrs piney will turn it to low in a couple hrs while I'm at work. Gonna be another rainy day so I'm already looking forward to dinner!

Well dang that was good stuff! Thanks for the inspiration mike bayerl ! After 12hrs in the slow cooker the meat fell apart just by looking at it. I also used about 2 cups of the juices with some flour and made some gravy. Served it over spaghetti
