Veterans, What I am about to say is something Impossible to make up! I went to see my Gastroenterologist today and LUCKY I've been seeing the same one since 2012. Since October of last year I've been fighting an uphill battle with Diverticulitis and losing. I going to need surgery in the fall. Anyway, I had to go to the VA to get the referral, wait 3 weeks to see the Doctor, I'm in the office today and the Doctor says to me, "Why are you here"? I said I was hospitalized for Diverticulitus back in March and I was told to follow up with you from the Hospital. He says to me, "YOU have a serious issue with your Kidney's". The he turns and looks at me and says, "I've never diagnosed you with any Kidney issues"? When did you see Doctor, (X)... I said Never!!!!!!!!!!! He looks at my birthday on the page and says, "When were you born"? I give him my Birthday and SS#... My Doctor is looking at a chart from someone with the same name, 3 states away and 5 years YOUNGER then me! WTF??? He said. and I quote him, "HOLY S#!T"!!! He get's on the phone and instantly calls the Hospital and has (MY) blood work sent over with MY CT results. He was ready to send me for Kidney dialisis and another MRI on my Kidneys until we caught the error. YES, this is the VA!!! PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THESE A$$#OLES! Guess how this all happened? FJB NO POLITICS NOW!!!
W Who the HELL knows? He finally got a chance to look at (MY) chart after some calls. My Blood work and Kidneys were fine except some Uric Acid issues, associated with GOUT. Somebody may be reading my chart...
Here's a good example of "something" that just happens. https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/02/us/n...tenced-patient-deaths-pennsylvania/index.html
