LOL just these 2 loads, about a face cord total   I'd like to get one more load, but with everything I've brought home in the last 6 months, most of my storage space is accounted for. Would've been nice if this score popped up a few months ago. What's left there is mostly huge red oak and mountains of large tulip poplar, which I don't really want but may take some. I have no shortage of shoulder wood as it is. We shall see....

Need more room? Just so happens there’s a guy in Cromwell supposedly selling corrugated metal flooring. Like metal roofing but thicker. You could put a second floor on your woodshed :)

That very well may be my last resort. :) I did some rearranging today and freed up a little more room. I have this pipe dream of leaving open space somewhere for the little scrounges I inevitably get over the summer, but time and time again I can't let a space go unfilled.

Yeah, yeah... it's been about 4 years since I got any significant amount of the stuff so it was calling me today. The next load (or two) will be red oak. I think 2 loads of white, 2 loads of red, and one poplar should round things out quite nicely.

Haha I believe that 100%. :salute: There really is plenty of nice tulip poplar at this score. The base of the tree was about 30” diameter. If I had the space to fill I’d take a bunch more.

A pretty proper load of red oak today:

Plenty more TP there if you feel like taking a ride up to Bristol ;) I really can't justify taking more TP right now. Actually that load I got a couple days ago went right to my wood customer over in Plymouth. He really needs to build up his inventory for next winter, more than I need extra shoulder wood.

I'm winding down for the season after hitting it relatively hard for the last 6 months straight. I can't go shot for shot all year round with the man, the legend, the buZZsaw :) I'm thinking one more oak load from here then calling it a wrap for a bit. Warm weather is creeping in and I've got a lot to do around the house.
