On my piston based rifle, I left it cocked for a while because it was said it was ok to do that. Well the seal ended up sticking to the piston and ripped. I don't know what would happen with a pumper but possibly the same?
Hopefully not. 10-12 hours pumped up is the longest time I'd leave it that way. I'll report anything I find out as I go along.
you should be ok for that long. I left mine that way over a course of a winter. Meant to discharge it and forgot about it.
Well it's been awhile but now that I'm all healed up from shoulder surgery, I can finally get back to the fun things in life. I'm really digging air gun pest control. This took about an hour this morning. There is a 5th im pretty confident is dead but I cannot find him. All taken with my Seneca dragonfly .22. All shots were roughly 15 yards and in. Off hand. I ran through one 7 shot mag. Not bad for my first time using it without a rest on a bench. I'm going to get a couple more mags to fill and carry with me. I can see more air rifles are in my future.
I was doing some pest control last week, bad groundhog issue at the place I'm remodeling. hit 2 ground hogs, next to their burrow and they managed to slink into it.. First time I've gone after a groundhog and I read they are resilient suckers, so it's been kind of bugging me not knowing. Looked to me like they were kill shots, 1 did a dance and 1 instantly dropped and still got away.. .45 279 gr hp
I'll definitely be getting a air rifle that will as well. I'm leaning towards a .257 to start. Like an air force Texan.
