Anyone have one of these newer models?

    Just looking around on the computer tonight. My brother use to own one of these years and years ago. Really liked it.

    Any of you guys run these? When I go the the Makita site,

    they don't seem to have the larger saws there. I don't know anything about them. Just curious at this point.

    I run a Stihl MS290 Farm Boss now with an 18" bar. I may eventually go with a slightly larger saw to run a 20-24" bar.

    I have had a number of the 510/520/540 saws. If you have a Home Depot Rental Center close by check with them for a 64 cc model.

    Those Makitas are actually built by Dolmar. They are great saws indeed.

    I've run the red versions of them and they tend to run strong for the displacement.

    Gas, you should take a look at the new Dolmar 6100. I've had my hands on a couple of them and they are very impressive!
